NSW Heritage Grants

2017-18 and 2018-19 grants

The NSW Government is committed to ensuring that our heritage is valued, protected, and enjoyed. The Heritage Grants Program is designed to help owners, managers and communities to know, value and care for their heritage. 

 

Aboriginal Heritage

CLOSED

PURPOSE: To support the conservation and promotion of significant Aboriginal heritage in NSW (State or Federal Government owned and/or managed lands not eligible).

Funding available: $20,000 to $70,000 (per project ex GST)

Matching funding: Matching funding required from Local Councils, no matching funding from other applicants

Community Heritage Projects (Peak Organisations)

PURPOSE: To facilitate the delivery of programs that support the promotion, protection and celebration of heritage in NSW.

Funding available: Up to $150,000 (per project ex GST)

Community Heritage Projects

OPEN: Currently closed. Opening in 2017 for 2018-19. 

PURPOSE: To deliver engaging projects that support community groups, to promote, protect and celebrate heritage in NSW.

Funding available: $25,000 to $50,000 (per project ex GST)

Matching funding required: No

Major Works

PURPOSE: To conserve, protect, maintain, enhance and celebrate items listed on the State Heritage Register.

Funding available: $10,000 to $150,000 (per project ex GST)

Heritage Reports

PURPOSE: To enhance the quality and coverage of conservation documents and management reports for items listed on the State Heritage Register.

Local Government Heritage Advisors

PURPOSE: To improve professional heritage advice at Local Councils.

Local Government Heritage Planning Studies
