Ben Boyd National Park

Driving trips

Car touring

You can visit the park’s main attractions by car in a day or two. For example, you could visit Boyds Tower and the Davidson Whaling Station, then head south and drop in to Saltwater Creek, Bittangabee Bay and Green Cape Lightstation. On the way out, stop at Disaster Bay lookout for breathtaking views across Disaster Bay towards Nadgee Nature Reserve.

4WD and trail bike touring

The good quality roads in most of the park will not challenge the 4WD driver but you could explore some of the less visited areas in the northern section of the park, such as North Head, Lennard’s Island and Terrace Beach. These roads are also accessible by conventional vehicles, but only in dry conditions.
