Car touring
You can enjoy many of the park's attractions by car. Take a short walk to the beach from Zenith or Box beach car parks or a scenic drive that covers the main points of interest beginning at Nelson Bay Road.
Travel towards Newcastle and turn left at Gan Gan Road. Continue on to Anna Bay, or make a short detour through Boat Harbour and back to Anna Bay. Turn right at the roundabout and return to Nelson Bay via Nelson Bay Road. Big Rocky Track is shared by 4WD vehicles and walkers, and there is a 200m walk at the end to Big Rocky headland.
