Changes to camping areas
In accordance with the Meroo National Park Management Plan changes have been made to camping arrangements within the park.
- Camping is no longer permitted at Stokes Island due to unsustainable damage to coastal habitat. This area is being converted to a day use area.
- Camping at Sunburnt Beach has been changed to walk-in camping only. A new campers car park is located 50-100m from the camping area. Toilet facilities are now available at this location.
- Camping at Termeil Point has been reduced in area and is now restricted to 12 delineated sites. Toilet facilities are now available at this location.
Booking of camp sites for Meroo Head, Termeil Point and Sunburnt Beach campgrounds is not required as yet. This includes the 2013/2014 Christmas hoildays.
