The Lighthouse Precinct
Cape Byron Headland Reserve is situated on the most easterly point of the Australian mainland and is a very special and unique part of Australia. It is a popular place for ceremonies and events.
The Lighthouse precinct offers spectacular views to the north and south coasts and to the hinterland, and areas outside the Lighthouse precinct include Palm Valley and the beautiful beaches fringing the Cape at The Pass, Wategos and Tallow Beach.
Parking: within or from the Lighthouse precinct the applicant is allocated a maximum of two parkings spaces. Parking vouchers are provided to the applicant prior to the day. For larger groups attending events, it is imperative that guests be transported by coach/minibus, for which there is no entry charge when attending licenced events.
Areas outside the Lighthouse Precinct
The areas outside the Lighthouse precinct include Palm Valley and the beautiful beaches fringing the Cape at The Pass, Wategos and Tallow Beach.
Parking: for these other areas on the headland, there are no reserved or allocated parking spaces.
Getting there: Follow Lawson St out of Byron Bay to Lighthouse Road
