Volunteer programs in the park
Bush regeneration
If you're tired of seeing weeds take over native bushland, why not come and help fight them? You can join rangers and other volunteers in the park bush regeneration program. Generally, you'll be helping to get rid of weeds and replace them with locally native plants. It's a good way of putting something back into this beautiful area - and if you come along, you're bound to discover a few areas of the park you haven't seen before.
This year, volunteers helped to restore the native bushland in various parts of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. They also got the opportunity to visit nearby reserves which are generally less accessible to visitors - like Muogamarra, Lion Island and Spectacle Island nature reserves.
Park staff often run introductory training courses on bush regeneration - see Upcoming events for more details.
