Tomaree National Park

Native animals

The park provides important habitat for a variety of animals including several threatened species such as koalas, spotted-tailed quoll, powerful owl, osprey, sooty and pied oystercatchers, and the wallum froglet. A good place to spot koalas is the One Mile Beach carpark. The park also supports large populations of migratory shorebirds on the beaches and coastal rock platforms.

The headlands, particularly at Boat Harbour, provide at great vantage point for humpback whale watching during the winter months (May to October), and you may also spot seals and little penguins.
