Become a frog spy!
If you're new to frog watching, there are plenty of things you can do:
- get to know your local frogs by buying an identification book and a CD or tape of frog calls
- help out with frog surveys - contact your local NPWS office to find out if there's one near you
- find out more about the endangered bell frogs (green and golden bell frog, yellow-spotted bell frog, southern bell frog) or report report a bell frog species using an online form
- find out what to do if you find a frog that looks sick
- find out what to do if you find a displaced frog. Displaced frogs that have been transported outside their natural range may carry diseases that are a threat to local species.
- find out what to do if you find a cane toad.
- join a frog interest group such as the Frog and Tadpole Study (FATS) Group
