Ministerial Reference Group

Role

The Ministerial Reference Group (MRG) is a key stakeholder group that was established to assist in finalising the BioBanking Assessment Methodology and the regulation. The group also:

• reviewed the results of the three-month pilot program to test the BioBanking Assessment Methodology
• oversee implementation of the scheme
• assist in the review of the scheme.

Membership

The MRG consists of leaders from key stakeholder groups:

• Office of Environment and Heritage
• Total Environment Centre
• NSW Environmental Defender's Office
• NSW Farmers' Association
• Property Council of Australia
• Urban Development Institute of Australia (NSW)
• NSW Minerals Council
• Catchment Management Authorities Chairs Council
• Local Government and Shires Associations NSW

The group is chaired by OEH's Deputy Chief Executive, Climate Change, Policy and Programs Group.
