The framework for assessment and approvals related to the impacts on biodiversity associated with development and clearing in NSW are regulated by the following legislation and instruments:

In making these Acts, this legislation was repealed:

  • Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995
  • Native Vegetation Act 2003
  • Nature Conservation Trust Act 2001
  • Parts of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974
