Brigalow and Nandewar Community Conservation Area Agreement
The Brigalow and Nandewar Community Conservation Area Agreement was developed by the Community Conservation Council in conjunction with the Central West, Border Rivers/Gwydir and Namoi Community Conservation Advisory Committees. The agreement provides a co-ordinated framework for the management of land zoned 1 to 4 in the Brigalow and Nandewar Community Conservation Area in consultation with the local community.
The agreement was made on 11 June 2009 between the Minister for Climate Change and the Environment and the Minister for Primary Industries in accord with the Brigalow and Nandewar Community Conservation Area Act 2005 and after public consultation. The agreement will be in place until 10 June 2016.
