Under the Central Coast Water Savings Fund $9.7 million is being provided for 82 projects to save more than 1 billion litres of water and $2.4 million in water bills a year.
Central Coast Water Savings Fund
The Central Coast Water Savings Fund was established in partnership with the Gosford/Wyong Councils' Water Authority in 2006 to encourage investment in water savings on the Central Coast.
The aim of the Fund is to stimulate investment in innovative water conservation and recycling technologies and practices, and improve water efficiency across all sectors.
The Fund provides up to $2 million a year for saving water in the Central Coast region.
Under the Central Coast Water Saving Fund $9.7 million is being provided for 82 projects to save more than 1 billion litres of water and $2.4 million in water bills a year.

Eligibility criteria
Activities that are eligible for funding include, but are not limited to:
water savings measures that will reduce water used in equipment, devices or processes; reduce leaks; or improve operating and maintenance practices
measures that will reduce potable water consumption through substitution from alternative sources such as rainwater, stormwater or recycled water.
Businesses with Water Management Plans approved by Gosford City or Wyong Shire Councils are encouraged to apply for financial support to implement actions identified in their plans.

Application form
Applications to the Central Coast Water Savings Fund are submitted on an online application form. Applicants are expected to provide detailed information about the savings potential for the each project, including baseline data and predicted savings over 10 years.
Funding agreements
Each successful applicant is required to enster into a Funding Agreement. Applicants are advised to read the sample agreement before submitting an application as variations to the standard clauses will not be considered.

Funding conditions for allocations of less than $100,000 are detailed in a Letter of Agreement.
Future funding rounds
Applications are called within contestable funding rounds. When funding rounds open, they are advertised in local newspapers.
