Project summaries

The following energy education projects were supported under the Energy Savings Fund.

Australian Conservation Foundation
ACF's GreenHome - community education for sustainable living
Funding: $889,935

The Australian Conservation Foundation's GreenHome program helps householders save energy, water and waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This project has targeted high energy-using households with a community education program and provided retrofits to change both behaviour and household fixtures and fittings.

Since the GreenHome program was established in 2005 with funding support from the Environmental Trust, it has successfully helped hundreds of householders live more sustainably. The project is saving an estimated 523 megawatt hours of electricity and 908 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions a year.
