Using and displaying
The NSW Coat of Arms is used to convey the public authority of the Crown and State. The Arms can also be displayed (if authorised) for cultural, educational and other purposes without necessarily conveying public authority.
There has been some experimentation with the artistic styles in representing the NSW Coat of Arms ever since 1906, and this gallery shows the development of representations over the past 100 years, the variety of materials used, and the various public functions and activities carried out under the sign of the NSW Coat of Arms.
