Statement of significance:

Elegant Inter-War Free Classical Style building. Finely detailed exterior features including smooth rendered bands and entry feature with classical style portico. Good condition and little altered. Significant for its association with the social and historical development of the shire.

Description

Physical description: Two storey Inter-War period public building in Classical Revival style. Symmetrical facade. Face brick walls with decorative smooth and moulded render. Hipped terracotta tile roof with boxed eaves. Tall rendered brick chimney with terracotta pot. Classical pedimented gable over projecting entry feature with ionic pilasters multi-pane windows and Shire shield at first floor level. Classical entablature and Tuscan columns to entry porch below. Double-hung windows six panes to a sash except for single pane bottom sashes at ground floor level.
