Statement of significance:

Late Federation style of special interest for its verandah placement, a notable variation on the standard design. Essentially unaltered and well maintained. Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1890-1915
Physical description: Interesting variation on standard Federation/Edwardian form. Has verandah to front projection below gable. Pebbledash decoration to gable with good, decorative timberwork below. Supported by colonettes above brick piers. These could be later replacements but appear authentic. Otherwise minor alterations only, including fence and pebblecrete verandah. Main windows also replaced but good coloured skylights retained.

History

Historical notes: First appears in Sands Directory in 1912. Occupied by Thomas Law and known as "Genoa".
