Statement of significance:

Very good late Federation symmetrical semi-detached. The only one in a whole street of like designs to survive essentially intact. Displays some fine detailing. Rare survivor in this area. Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1890-1915
Physical description: Good early twentieth century symmetrical semi. Hipped slate roof with central shingled gablet above entries. Scalloped brick balustrades to verandahs. Paired posts with decorative fretwork infill and valences. Dark dichromatic brickwork, tuckpointed. Original brick fence of special note. Good roughcast chimneys. Coloured window skylights, possibly reglazed. Original doors. Minor alterations only, including screen door to No. 3.

History

Historical notes: First appeared in Sands Directory in 1915. No. 1 occupied by Harry Hall and known as "Tekianga". No. 3 occupied by A Myers and known as "Alameda".
