Good example of early stone house, one of the oldest surviving buildings in Waverley. Special social and historic interest. Part on an historic precinct associated with the original Pearce brothers' holding. Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1890-
Physical description: Early two storey stone house. Simple traditional form with hipped corrugated iron roof. Double verandah would be replacement, but sympathetic. Original openings but windows and doors replaced.
Further information: Reasons for listing: Historical; social; architectural; aesthetic; group value; streetscape.
Current use: Dwelling house.
Former use: Dwelling house.

History

Historical notes: Built on land originally owned by Simeon Pearce. First appears in Sands Directory in 1871, but believed to be earlier.
