Good examples of early workers' houses. One of the oldest surviving buildings in the Waverley Council area. Special social and historical interest. Part of an historic precinct formed around Simeon Pearce's original holding. Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1890-
Physical description: Very early stone semi with slate roof. Simple workers' dwellings. Doors and windows replaced and now feature security grilles. Good stone chimneys with iron pots.

Current use: Dwelling house.
Former use: Dwelling house.

History

Historical notes: Built on land owned by Simeon Pearce. First appears in Sands Directory in 1866. Thought to be earlier. No. 97 occupied by grocer, Henry Pearce until 1884. Then occupied by James Pearce until 1908.
