Description

Construction years: 1915-1945
Physical description: Very good, individually styled 1930's house. Elegant and simple design, beautifully proportioned. All hipped, terra cotta tiled roof. Roof form continues out over verandah across Boonara Avenue frontage. Solid brick piers on corners with slender Classical style columns between. Another of these columns supports pergola to side entry porch. Valance continues up to eaves and around whole house. Much like a Classical entablature on verandah. Good timber balustrade in "criss-cross" pattern. Two different, but attractive elevations, making good use of the corner site. Beautifully maintained garden, without fence at time of original survey. Unsympathetic high fence recently added (1990/91).
