Statement of significance:

One of the Waverley Council area's best surviving Federation houses. Especially noteworthy for its feature tower and fine detailing. Streetscape context unfortunately compromised by adjoining building on corner. Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1890-1915
Physical description: Outstanding Federation house. Appears to be c. 1910. Complex slate roof with terra cotta ridge capping. Variation on the standard L-shaped plan. Distinguishing feature is square tower on corner, topped by a bellcast spire. Dichromatic brickwork with roughcast and limited stucco work used for decoration. Original windows and doors. Elaborate timber decoration to verandah. Stone fence/retaining wall. Impact on prominent corner compromised by unsympathetic modern building adjoining.
