Statement of significance:

Good group of three early twentieth century cottages. Rare survivors from the early years of Bondi's popularity. Nos. 19 and 21 retain individual architectural interest, but No. 17 has lost its integrity. Streetscape value. Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1915-1945
Physical description: Group of three, narrow fronted, Federation cottages. Brick and roughcast. No. 17 now fully rendered. Slate roofs originally. No. 19 now has concrete roofing tiles. Each has double gable, with rear gable almost hidden by the other. Recessed entry to one side, with its own hipped roof. Verandah arches of different shapes and treatments. Smaller arches to entries beside. No. 21 has shingled gable. No. 19 has all roughcast gable. These two also retain their original tuckpointed brick bases. Excellent casement windows with coloured panes to skylights. No. 21 has sympathetic replacement fence. Modern fences to Nos. 17 and 19, both well planted in front.
