Important element in the historic "Edina" grouping, as an original outbuilding. Integrity compromised, but much of the original fabric survives and the original form and function may still be appreciated. Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1890-1890
Physical description: Two storey brick building built right to street on both frontages. Brickwork now painted. Original hipped slate roof with eaves brackets and moulded chimneys. Loft opening onto Church Street. Now converted to hospital use, with additions and other external alterations to detail.

History

Historical notes: Judging by styling would appear to be contemporaneous with "Edina" (see accompanying form). Would have been used as a coach house as well as stabling, and possibly accommodation as well.
