Statement of significance:

Good, corner Federation house. One of the best examples in the municipality. Also one of the few older style houses in the foreshore area to survive in reasonable condition. Streetscape potential on key corner site, not presently realised. Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1890-1915
Physical description: Impressive corner Federation house, c. 1915. Complex slate roof with terra cotta ridge capping. Splay corner with large ingle nook on north-east corner. Verandah follows form of building creating interesting angles and detailing. Roughcast and half-timbered gables. Paired timber posts to verandah above brick piers. Simple timber valance. Shingled hood over bay below front gable. Let down by high fence and replacement of original glazing to ingle nook.
