Statement of significance:

Good example of a Federation terraced pair, derived from earlier Victorian forms. Retains architectural interest despite loss of integrity, but main value now is for contribution to streetscape as one of a row of three (see forms for Nos. 11-13 and 15-17). Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1890-1915
Physical description: Terraced pair. Transitional, Federation style, probably c. 1905. Good despite painted brick. Hipped, terra cotta tiled roof with side facing gambrels. Moulded chimneys on each side. Main roof continues down over verandahs. Exposed rafter eaves. Outstanding verandahs and balconies, fully reconstructed. Heavily moulded timber posts with extensive iron lace decoration. Simple openings with sash windows and high waisted doors. Original tessellated tiles and palisade fence. Garage and side additions not a concern.
