Statement of significance:

Good example of a Federation terraced pair, derived from earlier Victorian forms. Retains architectural interest despite loss of integrity, but main value now is for contribution to streetscape as one of a row of three (see forms for Nos. 7-9 and 11-13). Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1890-1915
Physical description: Terraced pair. Transitional, Federation style, probably c. 1905. The only building in a row of three to retain its original tuckpointed brick unpainted. In this case let down by concrete roof tiles. Single hipped roof, continuing down over verandahs. Exposed rafter eaves. Tall brick chimneys with moulded stucco. Outstanding verandahs and balconies. Wing walls with extensive iron lace decoration. Simple openings with sash windows and high waisted doors. French doors upstairs. Original tesselated tiles and palisade fence.
