Statement of significance:

Cultural planting to former Late Victorian villa. Continues to make a major contribution to the streetscape. Escarpment vegetation is a natural feature of aesthetic and historical interest. Local significance.

Construction years: 1890-1915
Physical description: Grounds of former Late Victorian villa. Cultural planting to Henrietta Street and vegetated slopes of escarpment to the rear. Escarpment area known as "The Jungle". Two large Moreton Bay fig trees to Henrietta Street frontage. To 16m high, lopped considerably. Two tall Norfolk Island pines to 18m high. Probably garden planting to old house, from about 1900. Cast iron palisade fence (part only) with circular moulded pillars and plinth at former entrance, from Federation period.

Historical notes: Original building, "Froebal House", still stands, though somewhat modified. Late Victorian villa. Now part of the Macquarie Institute of Early Childhood Studies.
