Statement of significance:

Good example of a "Bondi tram" of the type which ran from 1908 till the late 1940's. Restored by Council and placed in Boot Factory grounds. This item has high symbolic value, summing up as it does the era in which the beach opened up to all Sydneysiders and creating the beach culture which has been a major factor in the development of Waverley and of the Sydney lifestyle.
