Good example of an Inter-War Spanish Mission style flat building. Typical of this area and part of a good group (see separate form). Local significance.

Description

Construction years: 1915-1945
Physical description: Three storey walk-up residential flat buildling in Spanish Mission Style. Façade addresses two street frontages, with primary façade to Lucius Street. Combines pitched tiled roof with central feature parapets to both frontages. Front entrance accentuated by a portico. Capped by Cordova roof tiles and supported by "barley twist" columns. Façade cement rendered in typical fan pattern. Cartouche motifs and garlands on parapets, with coat of arms emblem on fence piers. Large balconies now enclosed. Triple arched openings with wrought iron balustrades. French doors to Juliet balconies and some samples of original leadlight windows. Characteristic rendered fence with Cordova tile capped piers. Scalloped dwarf walls connecting fence piers.
