Rookwood Cemetery and Necropolis

Take a stroll through one of the largest cemeteries in the world, containing more than a million burials. Marvel at the elaborate head stones and vaults built to honour departed loved ones and wonder what their lives were like. While you are there, visit the historic rose gardens, some of the finest in New South Wales. Guided tours are run by Friends of Rookwood on the first Sunday of every month.
