i am your guide to solar finance

Options if you don't own your own home

Not owning your own home is often seen as a barrier to installing solar. If that’s the case, here are some options

Negotiate with the landlord

If you are on a long-term lease you could discuss installing solar with your landlord. As a part of your lease you could include clauses about the installation and maintenance of the solar system.

Power Purchase Agreements for renters

If you are on a long term lease and your landlord agrees to have solar installed but you can’t afford the up-front cost, there are other options available to finance the system. You may be able to explore a power purchase agreement (PPA).

Green Power

If you are unable to install solar but want to source your electricity from renewable sources you could explore GreenPower.

Community solar

You consider investing in community solar projects which  provide financial returns and support community environmental initiatives.
