Conditions of employment

The Award covering your role contains your conditions of employment. The Award is identified in your letter of offer. To view your Award, visit the Industrial Relations Commission website.

Before you arrive

So that we can set you up with network access and establish your payroll records please ensure you have returned all required documents before your first day.

Refer to your letter of offer (or acceptance of offer communication) if you are not clear on what is required.

When you start

As a new or transferring employee it is important to get to know your new environment and culture as well as your new role.

Your supervisor will provide you with your on-job induction and orientation and will work with you and your new colleagues to make the first days and weeks a positive learning experience. Your colleagues will be important sources of information for all those day to day things you need to know.

Your performance development and feedback

Within your first few weeks with us, your supervisor will work with you to create your Performance Development and Feedback Plan to align your role with the business and operational goals of the organisation. This is a great opportunity to understand how your role contributes to overall strategic plans for the organisation, as well as focus on your development goals for the coming year. This is an important part of how we operate at OEH and links to our achievement culture.
