Other options
Aboriginal joint management of parks and reserves is not restricted to memoranda of understanding, indigenous land use agreements and lease-back agreements. Other options are available, including:
- Aboriginal people participating in existing management committees and advisory committees or the NPWS creating new Aboriginal Advisory Committees
- An informal arrangement where the NPWS and representatives of Aboriginal community agree on when and who the NPWS should consult on particular issues.
