Environment protection legislation - short course for local government officers
The EPA has recently worked on preparing an updated Authorised Officers course which reflects the commencement of the Protection of the Environment Operations Amendment Act 2005.
It is a four-day course which has been designed to equip Authorised Officers within local government with the necessary competencies to fulfill their responsibilities as outlined in the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997.
The course is run by SD Environmental Management and participants are provided with a detailed reference handbook outlining the roles of authorised officers under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997.
