December 2013

  • The Native Vegetation Amendment (Local Land Services) Regulation 2013 amends the Native Vegetation Regulation 2013 as a consequence of the enactment of the Local Land Services Act 2013 which established the Local Land Services (a statutory authority) which carries out the functions previously undertaken by the Catchment Management Authority.
  • The Rural Fires Amendment Act 2013 amends the Rural Fires Act 1997 and the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974 to make further provision for bushfire hazard reduction (RF Act) and to clarify that certain Threatened Species offences do not apply in the course of carrying out bushfire hazard reduction work (NPW Act).

  • The Western Sydney Parklands Regulation 2013 replaces the Western Sydney Parklands Regulation 2007 and includes new provisions to protect Parkland facilities, provide for organised events, protect visitor safety and control offensive behaviour.

  • The Local Land Services Act 2013 amends the Catchment Management Authorities Act 2002 and the Rural Lands Protection Act 1998 by establishing the Local Land Services and local boards to oversee and implement programs and services relating to agricultural and natural resource management.
