Paddling

0 (Image: DECC)If you like to be afloat, you can hire a rowboat, paddleboat or canoe from the Audley boat shed and head upstream to one of the nearby picnic areas. The most popular spots are Ironbark Flat up Kangaroo Creek, or further up the Hacking River at Wattle Forest. Visit www.audleyboatshed.com for more information.

You can also hire a kayak from Bundeena to explore the Hacking River or the pristine waters of Cabbage Tree Basin.

If you have your own canoe, you'll find some delightful spots at these places:

  • on the Hacking River, downstream of Audley
  • on South West Arm from Warumbul (6 kilometres east of Audley)
  • at Cabbage Tree Basin near Bonnie Vale.
