  1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. By submitting an entry, all entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  2. Entry is open to recipients of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service's email newsletter Naturescapes.
  3. The competition commences at 9:00am EST 8 April 2009 and concludes at 5:00pm EST on Wednesday, 6 May 2009.
  4. To enter, participants must send an email to npwsvisitor.newsletter@environment.nsw.gov.au with the email subject Discovery Competition and submit their full name, address and contact phone number.
  5. Entrants can enter the competition once only and only one entry per email address will be accepted.
  6. The minimum age for entry is 16.
  7. Employees of the Department of Environment and Climate Change or the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, or agencies associated with the promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter the promotion.
  8. Entrants must email full correct details or their entry will be invalid. The Promoter is not liable for any errors whatever the cause is, including misunderstanding an entrant's details or the prize being lost, misdirected or misdelivered. Should an entrant's contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant's responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter.
  9. This is a game of chance with the winner selected at random from a draw. The draw will take place at midday on Friday, 8 May 2009 at the NPWS Offices, Level 2, 43 Bridge St, Hurstville, NSW. The winner will be notified via email the same day.
  10. The results of the competition will be published in the Naturescapes email newsletter.
  11. The prize is one Family Discovery voucher for up to 2 adults and 2 children, valued at $50.00. The voucher can be redeemed by the winner on any NSW National Park Discovery tour in NSW, subject to availability. The prize is valid from 9 May 2009 to 18 October 2009. Bookings can be made directly with the park office running the tour. To redeem their prize, the winner must present their voucher to the tour organiser on attending their selected tour. For tours that are greater in value than $50.00 in total, the winner is responsible for paying the difference in price. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash and no cash refund will be given if the full value of the prize is not utilized by the expiry date. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel vouchers and refuse entry where the Promoter has reasonable grounds to believe vouchers have been sold by a prize winner.
  12. The prize includes the tour only. The winner is responsible for all other expenses including but not limited to meals, drinks, transport, incidentals, and all other ancillary costs.
  13. Each entrant releases from and indemnifies DECC/NPWS against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the promotion including (but not limited to) personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
  14. By claiming a prize, the winner accepts that DECC/NPWS may use the winner's name and likeness for their promotional and publicity purposes.
  15. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

  11. The winner will receive two tickets to South Solitary Island, including return flights and a 1 hour guided tour, valued at up to $500. The winner must be available for any/all of the days for which the tour will be operating. Tours will be held on 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 & 12 July 2009. Extra days may be released. To redeem their prize, the winner must book directly with Coffs Coast Visitor Information Centre and indicate to the booking staff their preferred day of tour at the time of booking. The actual time of day of the tour will be given to the winner closer to the departure date. Tours may be transferred to alternate time/day if weather prevails. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash. In the event of a cancellation for whatever reason, the prize is not redeemable for cash.
  12. A general level of fitness and mobility is required. See the full terms and conditions for the tour.

"Win a NSW National Parks All Parks Pass" Promotion

  1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. By submitting an entry, all entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  2. Entry is open to recipients of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service's email newsletter Naturescapes.
  3. The competition commences at 9:00am EST 8 April 2009 and concludes at 5:00pm EST on Friday, 22 May 2009.
  4. To enter, participants must send an email to npwsvisitor.newsletter@environment.nsw.gov.au with the email subject Postcards from the park and submit a jpeg image/photo taken in a NSW national park, along with a 75 word description accompanying the photo, and their full name, address and contact phone number.
  5. Submitted images must be original works of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any third party, or are images submitted with full permission of the lawful owner. Images must not have previously been submitted for publication. Incomplete, incomprehensible or images that are, in the opinion of the Promoter, deemed inappropriate will be ineligible.
  6. Winners must be 18 years old and above to redeem the prize.
  7. Employees of the Department of Environment and Climate Change or the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, or agencies associated with the promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter the promotion.
  8. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. The images that are judged to best capture a unique or outstanding perspective on NSW's national parks or the experiences in them will be selected for publication in future issues of Naturescapes. The competition will be judged by a select group of NPWS employees in the Tourism & Partnerships Branch. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The winning entrants will be notified by email. If the winner is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the winner's parent or legal guardian.
  10. It is intended that winning photographs will be used by DECC/NPWS to promote NSW national parks. All entrants grant to DECC/NPWS a non-exclusive royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, irrevocable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish, create derivative works from and publicly display the submitted photographs throughout the world in any media. DECC/NPWS agrees to credit the photographer with the image where possible.
  11. All entrants represent and warrant that (i) they own and control all of the rights to their submitted photographs or otherwise have the lawful right to distribute such photographs; (ii) the photographs are accurate and not misleading; (iii) the location of the photograph is as described; (iv) the photograph does not utilise composite or layering methods; and (v) the use and posting or other transmission of the photographs will not violate any rights of any person or entity.
  12. The results of the competition will be published in the Naturescapes email newsletter.
  13. Entrants whose images are selected to appear in future issues of Naturescapes will win a NSW National Parks All Park Pass, valid for one year and valued at $190. The winner will be sent an All Parks Pass application form. To redeem their prize, they must complete this form and return it to NPWS for processing, upon which they will receive their Pass.
  14. Each entrant releases from and indemnifies DECC/NPWS against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the promotion including (but not limited to) personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
