Brisbane Water National Park: Warrah Trig Road closed until 1 April
Please note that Warrah Trig Road in Brisbane Waters National Park will now be closed following maintenance works until at least Saturday 1 April, not 25 March, with the re-opening of the road on 1 April dependent upon dry weather conditions.
National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) staff have been undertaking trail maintenance works on the road, which has been slowed down by the wet weather and the road now needs to dry out for the works to continue.
NPWS Hunter Central Coast Area Manager Angela Lonergan said that while people can’t drive, walk or cycle along the Warrah Trig Road while the trail is closed, visitors can still walk to Warrah Trig via the Patonga to Pearl Beach walking track.
“This short term inconvenience will mean all of our local residents and visitors can benefit in the longer term from a well maintained road,” she said.
“We appreciate the understanding of those wishing to visit the area and look forward to re-opening the road on 1 April pending fine weather conditions.”
For more information, and to check the status of the road closure, go to Brisbane Water National Park Local Alerts or call the NPWS office in Gosford on (02) 4320 4200.
