Education and training
The Conservation and Land Management (CLM) Training Package is the basis for accredited land management courses across Australia. Weed management is one of seven industry 'sectors' covered by the framework, which delivers certificate qualifications at levels I-V, including diplomas and advanced diplomas.
The CLM packages adopts a flexible approach to training. Options vary from courses and traineeships to industry events and on-the-job experience. Training programs (including recognition of prior learning) are being jointly developed by a number of government, industry and education groups, including local weed advisory committees, TAFE NSW, the Department of Agriculture and the Weeds Cooperative Research Centre.
