What are the Register Categories?

Area of Property Assessed
Assessed area may exceed the area proposed for Private Native Forest operations and also the area previously mapped and usually includes the entire property.
Updated Area (PNF Old Growth and PNF Rainforest)
This is the area resulting from assessing the property using the PNF Old Growth or Rainforest Protocol and has been confirmed as now being Old Growth or Rainforest. These areas are excluded from PNF operations under the provisions of the Code of Practice.
Indicated Area
For the PNF Code of Practice, these map layers were specifically derived from the CRAFTI structural mapping program of the mid 1990s. They are used to indicate likely areas where Old Growth or Rainforest may occur.
The Percentage Change figure is calculated by comparing the total area currently mapped on the property and the indicated area previously mapped. Note: These figures can only be finalised at the time of PVP approval.
