Regulatory Impact Statement: Proposed Heritage Regulation 2012
The Heritage Regulation 2005 is due to be repealed on 1 September 2012. It is proposed to remake the regulation as the issues it addresses remain relevant.
In line with the requirements of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989, this Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) has been prepared as a prelude to the remaking of the Regulation. It assesses the social and economic costs and benefits associated with a proposed replacement Regulation and examines other possible options to ensure the final approved legal instrument will meet stated policy objectives.
The Office of Environment and Heritage welcomes written comments on the RIS and the draft replacement Regulation.
