Who manages water quality in NSW?

A wide range of decisions can effect water quality in our waterways. These decisions are made by various departments and councils in their day to day business. The Office of Environment and Heritage has developed environmental objectives for water quality and river flows and provides guidance on how to use these objectives when making decisions that can effect water quality.
