Policy on x-ray protective clothing
The Policy on x-ray protective clothing provides advice to employers on specific requirements for the use, inspection and testing of X-protective clothing to ensure minimum exposure to individuals using radiation apparatus. The policy also includes advice on different types of protective clothing and examples of protective clothing with shielding defects.
The Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) has published this policy with the aim that all employers comply with the requirements of this policy.
Note: This policy supersedes requirements listed in Radiation Guideline 6: Appendix A, Parts 2-5 (2004).
