Disposal of radioactive substances
Under clause 23(1) of the Radiation Control Regulation 2003, a person must not dispose of any radioactive substances except with the consent of the Chair of the Environment Protection Authority (EPA).

Disposal of radiation apparatus
Under clause 23(1) of the Radiation Control Regulation 2003, a person must not dispose of any radiation apparatus except with the consent of the Chair of the EPA. The Regulation imposes certain responsibilities on owners if they wish to dispose of any radiation apparatus.

Shielding requirements for premises
A guideline on radiation shielding design assessment and verification requirements and general information is provided to assist owners of radiation apparatus or sealed source devices, occupiers of premises and consulting radiation experts (CREs) to assess premises shielding.
