These guidelines have been prepared specifically for Western Sydney local government areas within the Hawkesbury/Nepean catchment which have substantial greenfield developments.

Greenfield developments are large sites where houses are built on land that was formerly 'green fields' (i.e. rural land).
Planning and development of a subdivision should be done in a way that seeks to minimise, or where possible, negate the impact on the environment.
