Despite extremely hot, dry and windy conditions, groundcover remained exceptionally good and almost no dust was recorded across the network.

February 2017 was one of the driest and hottest Februarys on record. Menindee for example broke the temperature record from 1923 with a staggering 47.5 degrees on the 11 February 2017.
