River operators forecast higher than normal demand for irrigation purposes in the Murrumbidgee system during Autumn. As a result, environmental water managers reassessed their plans and are now aiming to deliver environmental flows in July 2017. The flows will top up disconnected wetlands which support native fish.

Native fish will be the target of managed environmental flows in low-lying Murrumbidgee wetlands this winter.
