Species sightings and management sites across NSW

OEH is currently developing a targeted approach for managing Partnership species species. In the interim, the following management actions have been identified for this species.
  • Undertake studies to gain an understanding of the biology, ecology and population dynamics of the Mangrove Honeyeater, develop emergency response plan.
  • Liaise with Planning Authorities to increase awareness about the impacts of further loss of habitat by clearing and fragmentation associated with urban development and population pressures.
  • Raise awareness of dangers herbicides and pesticides can have on the environment and non-target species
