Species sightings and management sites across NSW

OEH is currently developing a targeted approach for managing Partnership species species. In the interim, the following management actions have been identified for this species.
  • Determine, through research, the ecological requirements of the species, particularly in regard to fire, and incorporate the information into Regional and Local Fire Plans. . . .
  • As there are so few records of this species, investigate existing locations and future records to better determine distribution and identify areas of potential habitat to undertake survey and management actions. . .
  • Address the threat of illegal collection and nest disturbance.
  • Use management agreements and incentives on private and leasehold land to manage total grazing pressure through such actions as removal of artificial water points and feral and native herbivore control.
