How will this species be managed?

The following research actions have been designed to address priority knowledge gaps in order to develop an appropriate management approach for this species:
  • Determine abundance through targeted surveys of the main Lord Howe Island and offshore islands.
  • Determine the species' at-sea distribution via tracking surveys.
  • Determine breeding success in presence/absence of rodents.
  • Investigate the species' diet and foraging behaviour.
